Sai Yuva Kaushal Vikas Program
Unemployment is presently looming at large. While a large number of Youth remain unemployed despite being graduated, for want of proper guidance, assistance and opportunities, the number of unemployed Youth who qualify only as school left-outs and idling themselves, is increasing day-by-day. These idle minds eventually become devils workshops, branding them as irresponsible citizens. The Trusts seek to overcome this unfortunate situation through the Sai-Yuva Kaushal Vikas Program.
Training
As a start-up, the Trusts have taken initiatives to re-open ICICI Foundation Academy at Coonoor, which had been imparting skill-based training to deserving candidates. The Foundation which was the brain-child of ICICI Bank Limited, had remained closed for over a couple of years. With the able assistance of ICICI Foundation, Sai-Yuva Kausal Vikas program came to be inaugurated with effect form 01-02-2024, at Periya Hubbathalai, Coonoor.
Employment
The program is equipped with sufficient infrastructure and equipment in a space of 660 Sq.Ft. of rented building. A permanent guiding faculty is deputed full time. The outgoing candidates, apart from being equipped with the training inculcated, are also handy with recommendations for employment opportunities. An approximate number of 50 candidates constituting 2 batches have benefitted so far from this Seva.
Expansion
The Seva is being conducted on a day-to-day basis and classes are full. Applications for admissions are also pouring in day-to-day. The expansion of the program to other geographical areas in The Nilgiris and to Coimbatore District as well, is becoming the need of the hour.
