Sai Nutrition Supplement Seva

A nutrition supplement named as “Sai Nutree Mix”, a health powder comprising of a mixture of milk, farm candy sugar, cereals, pulses and related products, is manufactured at Coimbatore under the name and style “Sai Poushtikam”.

The health mix powder is distributed to children, men, women of all categories, with specific focus on Government Schools, patients suffering from cancer, leprosy and other ailments, people in Rural and Tribal areas and also to other poor and needy people, on every alternative days.

The program is implemented through Government Schools, Primary Healthcare Centres and areas identified by the Trusts themselves

Production facility

Sai Poushtikam, the production unit of Sai Nutreemix, is being run with a 3 Nos of roasting machines and 1 powdering machine, producing a quantity of 5000 kgs of Sai Nutreemix per month.

Sevadals are engaged in the production unit, who apart from running the machines, also contribute to labelling, packing and distribution also.

Distribution

The primary focus of distribution of Sai Nutreemix, are

1. Children studying in various schools across The Nilgiris and Coimbatore Districts, identified by the Trusts themselves;

2. Pregnant women in both districts, identified by the Trusts themselves;

3. Patients suffering from various ailments, identified through Primary Health-care centres

Expansion

The Trusts have received unfathomable response to protein rich Sai Nutreemix Seva, from all quarters. All the beneficiaries have reported gradual gain of weight and tall differences in terms of energy, after consumption of Sai Nutreemix. In A great number of Schools and areas adjoining the beneficial areas have been requesting to supply to them for a number of months now. The Trusts are compelled to expand this Seva to other geographical areas as well. This requires;

1. Increase in production capacity to 25,000 kgs per month by installing new infrastructure with semi-automatic powdering unit at the outskirts of Coimbatore for bulk production;

2. Increase of man-power for the purpose of grinding, packing and labelling.
