Sai Narayana Seva Program
The Trusts operate their own kitchen for preparing daily meals for distribution. The kitchen is situated at Periya Hubbathalai, Coonoor, Nilgiris. The kitchen at Coimbatore, Sai Annapaakashala, is housed at a 400 Sq.Ft., of rental building situate at Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore. The kitchen houses many staff and Sevadals.
The kitchens maintained by both the Trusts are certified by FSSAI. With the existing infrastructure and manpower, the Trusts are able to serve only to the extent explained hereinabove.
The Trusts intend to
- Install new kitchens, one in Udhagamandalam, Gudalur and Masinagudi, The Nilgiris, apart from the existing kitchen at Periya Hubbathalai, Coonoor, The Nilgiris. This would increase the volume of Narayana Seva to reach out beneficiaries from other geographical areas of The Nilgiris District.
- Install new kitchens in the outskirts of Coimbatore to cover East and South Zones of Coimbatore District, since the existing kitchen at Coimbatore serves the needy in very few areas from West and North of Coimbatore.
- The expansion is intended to benefit and reach out to the larger section of the society and to increase the number of beneficiaries. Necessary infrastructure and increase in workforce and kind-hearted Sevadals, needed to accomplish this objective.
Breakfast Seva
Irrespective of climatic conditions at the Hill Station, number of breakfast packs are served to needy people in and around Udhagamandalam, Coonoor and adjoining areas on a daily basis.
Tasty, healthy and nutrition rich breakfast is served to beneficiaries counting to 300 in number, in areas surrounding The Government Hospital at Coimbatore on a day-to-day basis.
Lunch Seva
250 packs are served to poor and needy in and around, Udhagamandalam, Coonoor and adjoining areas on a daily basis.
In the mid-day, 750 lunch packs are distributed to needy people around Vadavalli, Venkitapuram, Siddhapudur, Thudiyalur, Gandhipuram, etc., on a day-to-day basis. Mid-day meal is also served to 300 school children in Naga Sai School , on every Thursdays and Fridays.
Dinner on Thursday and Pradhosham
Dinner is served at Sai Nivas, Hubbathalai, Coonoor, on two occasions, one on thursdays every week and on all Pradhosham occasions which fall twice per month. Dinner is served to approximately 300 persons on these two occasions.
